Re: How should the proportion of 3D parts be?

Hello,

The parts were drawn in Imperial Units (Inches) and most 3D printers use the Metric System (mm). The parts will need to be scaled to 2540% or 25.4 times the size you're seeing in CURA.

Thanks,

Re: One leg shifting off-center on powerup

Hello, thank you for your post. I'm sorry you're having some issues with your mePed! 1) It sounds like the servo isn't working properly. Upon turning the mePed on, all servos should move to their center (90°) position and stay there until you command the mePed to move. Some movements such as dancing...

Re: Meped software

Hi Antonio, Thank you for your question. The meped_testservorange program you mentioned wasn't written by us but rather, another mePed owner. I downloaded a copy of the program tonight and was able to download it to one of our mePeds without any errors so I'm not quite sure what is causing the issue...

Re: MOSFET used in mePed

Hi Yosauron,

We don't use any MOSFETs on the mePed PCB. The large TO-220 package you're probably thinking of is a 3.3v Regulator. All 8 servos are powered directly from the battery pack.

Thanks,

Re: Raspberry Pi / Python

Hi smcculley,

Unfortunately I haven't seen any Raspberry Pi ports of the mePed code yet and a quick Google search didn't reveal anything either.

Thanks,

Re: Servo problem

Hi cbosso,

I apologize for the delayed response and the issue you're having with the servo! Please email your address to scott@spierce.com and I will ship out a new servo. It sounds like the potentiometer in that one servo is faulty.

Thanks,
Scott Pierce

Re: Servo stuck in one position

Hi Hanail, I apologize for the delayed response and the issue you're having with one of your servos. Just to clarify, when centering the servo, since the servo isn't plugged in, there should not be a humming noise when trying to rotate the servo to the centered position. If it is plugged into the me...

Re: servo malfunctioning

Hi Barney, I'm glad you were able to make some progress with your mePed! It sounds like for your first issue of the robot tetering on two legs, you'll need to adjust two of your Leg Servo Arms. Referencing page 4, step 9 of the mePed Assembly Manual and this picture: mePed Leg Position.jpg If you lo...
